SPRING/SUMMER 24’ COLLECTION

This collection was inspired by the idea of a modern woman walking into the Victorian Era. How would she act? What would she do? Who would she talk to?

I often listen to modern songs played on strings, much like the Bridgerton soundtrack. One day I shuffled a playlist of modern string music, and I was hearing songs that surprised me. The bands were playing powerful anthems instead of the usual love songs. I enjoyed this tremendously. I began to imagine a scenario where one of my favorite female icons strolled into a Victorian ball to the tune of these songs. I felt very empowered imagining this, and began thinking about how this scene would play out. Some people would choose to simply observe, some would have discreet conversations, and some would be more bold. I decided that if it was me, I’d choose to be bold. I imagined ripping up Victorian style dresses and creating a new design. I’d storm into the ballroom and rally the woman there, showing them how far feminism has come centuries later. With this as my inspiration, I designed my collection and named each garment after a Victorian woman who was instrumental in the progression of their industry.

The inspiration behind the collection is just the starting point. Each garment is designed to be a tool for self expression. Everyone is empowered by different ideas and has their own story to tell. If you had the opportunity to go back to the Victorian Era, what would you do? What would empower you? How would your story play out? Let’s discover it together.
